The last portion of the verse really came out to me. I have felt worry some about the future at times about getting bored in heaven. This verse really helps clarify why heaven isn't boring and why hell is. Satan is tormented because he will never know any more than he already knows. He has no eternal learning or progression. I think this must tear him apart inside and the only way he can get back at Heavenly father is by trying to hurt him by keeping his other children from him. This is just a thought.
The verse also points out how important the resurrection is. If we never received our bodies back we would all be subject to Satan and his torment. It makes sense why Nephi says "O the wisdom of God, his mercy and grace!". God really wants us back and really wants us to be happy. He wants us to learn and progress. This is why we should choose him.
